Today we have participated in lots of messy paint by helping to construct the display for the East of England well-being show. Previously we had designed and created amazing postcards, which will be on display on Saturday 7th June. It is a record breaking attempt to display the most postcards in one place.

The children have spent the week learning about capacity and volume. We have been talking about the difference between the two. They have loved exploring capacity in a practical way. We have been encouraging the use of language such as full, nearly full, half full, nearly empty and empty. We have been comparing different sizes of containers.
"If you, um, have nothing in a bowl that means it is empty, and if you have a little bit of something like water it means it is nearly empty" said Isabel.
" it can be half full, then nearly full and when it gets to the top you have to stop as it is full" said Georgia.
" when it is half full you can fit more in. When it is at the top it will overflow and get you wet" said Toby.

The reception's compulsory activity was making a mask. The level of concentration has been very impressive. We have also been writing sentences about our activity.
Ben has blown us away with his fabulous cutting skills. Thomas earns the class a wow moment for superb writing - would 'nt you all agree?

Mr Stanners showed us his accordion. It works with air. It has 96 buttons on it. Some buttons have holes in them. Mr Stanners played loudly and quietly. The keys play the tune.
Mr Stanners played some lovely tunes. We sang a song it had 5 words "Do you like my jumper?"
